West Coast:

Diving off the Dubai coast of the UAE is predominately deep and wreck diving, most suited to advanced divers. Discover Scuba Diving experiences, try dives, training night dives and beach dives can also be done. Large schools of fish such as snappers, jacks and barracuda can be seen on the various wreck sites.

The Shark Dive in the Dubai Mall is a must do while in Dubai!

East Coast:

Coral reef is abundant on the east coast of the UAE in Al Aqah and in Dibba, Musandam (actually part of Oman, but no visa is needed, only a passport). Turtles, stingrays, black tip reef sharks and a abundance of reef fish can be found along the Al Aqah and Musandam coastlines. Ideal for all level of diver.


Diving is good all year round, in the winter months, the temperature ranges from 22 – 28 deg, with a sea temperature of around 23 deg. A 3mm or 5mm wetsuit is advisable.

In the summer months, the temperature ranges from 30 – 45 deg, with an ocean temperature of 28 – 32 deg. This is tropical diving and no wetsuit is needed. The weather is warm in summer and it is advisable to drink lots of fluids, carry a hat and take it easy on your dive trip!
